Couch to 5k beginners running group

‘Couch to 5k’ is a 10 week running plan, developed to help absolute beginners get into running. The programme works because it starts with a mix of running and walking, to gradually build up your fitness and stamina.

Week one involves running for just one minute at a time, creating realistic expectations and making the challenge feel achievable right from the start. Couch to 5k is for everyone – whether you’ve never run before, or you want to get back into being more active –  it is a free and easy way of getting fitter and healthier.

Couch to 5k takes place on Wednesdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm at East Cheshire Harriers’ athletics track, off Richmond Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL7 9HG.

Course fully booked. Next course start date to be confirmed.
