Everybody Can Achieve

Supported Internship

The Supported Internship is an employment-based course, giving young people with learning difficulties or additional needs the opportunity to develop employability skills.

Special Education programme

We have two Special Education programmes – Looked After Children (LAC) and Additional Needs/Disability (SEND). This is a bespoke education provision for young people aged 16-19 years, who are ‘deemed’ too challenging for a traditional education setting and, as a consequence, do not access schooling.

Active Community cafe

Our Supported Services team took over the catering service at Beatrix House residential home in Dukinfield in September 2016, in partnership with New Charter Housing. Beatrix House café is now running successfully with the help of some volunteers from our Supported Services programme.

Care to Success programme

The Care to Success programme has been identified as a specific gap in provision for young people aged 16-21 years in the care system. The aim is to look at how we can work with the young people around confidence, skills development and punctuality and embed values that will enable them to hold down an employment opportunity.

Everybody Can Live Well

Short breaks and bespoke respite

Short breaks involve overnight stays at various locations in the UK, allowing families the respite they are in need of whilst also providing a valuable and exciting experience for service users. Bespoke respite helps to integrate some of the most challenging children within Tameside into the community.

Adult day care and community & holiday respite provision (evenings and weekends)

Our Supported Services programme offers adults with additional needs a home away from home, with the opportunity to meet friends, have new experiences and learn skills, all with the support they need to grow and achieve their potential. We also offer a variety of weekly community sessions throughout the year including dance, cycling, multi-sports, art and crafts and cooking. Our aim is to ensure that families with disabled children, young people and adults have the support they need to engage in community based activities.
